Chilpancingo, Guerrero • To show their opposition to participation of the PRD in passing the state education reform [which contained virtually none of their demands] on Tuesday, teachers of the State Coordinating Committee of Education Workers of Guerrero vandalized both the facade and interior of the headquarters of the state PRD [leftist party]...
As the teachers walked back towards their camp on the side of Figueroa Ruffo Avenue after the teachers' rally ended in the Zócalo, a group of teachers separated from the contingent, armed with sticks and pipes, and forcibly opened the door of the PRD offices...
They then entered the offices and broke windows in the administrative areas, including the bathrooms, and damaged a computer. While this was being done, other teachers wrote graffiti against the PRD and against Bernardo Ortega, congressional deputy and president of the Government Commission of the State Congress.
Some of the slogans that teachers wrote with red spray paint on the yellow walls of the PRD headquarters were
"Traitors, thieves. Fucking PRD."Guadalupe Acosta Naranjo, former national president of the PRD, said the teachers destroyed the headquarters of the party in Chilpancingo because the organization did not support their blockades and for not opposing the state education reform [as written].
