Milenio: The State Coordinating Committee of Education Workers of Guerrero urged the release of at least two teachers detained by Federal Police (PF) in the eviction on the Highway of the Sun earlier today, and reported that it will continue with the use of its right of demonstration.
"We do not know in what places, but they will be directed at the government of Guerrero and the federal government," CETEG spokesman, Minervino Moran, told Milenio Television. He described the operation of the PF, as "repressive", considering that it made use of force.
He reported that in the coming hours CETEG will meet in its state assembly to define the actions to follow, as they await the release of the detainees, who might be more than two, and the recovery of  "beaten companions," one of whom is "unconscious" in a clinic of the ISSSTE [government clinic for state employees].

He said there are shows of solidarity with the dissident teachers' movement in Guerrero, evidenced by parents mobilizing in Tlapa and Tixtla and Section 22 of the CNTE in Oaxaca, which seized a toll booth.

Minervino Moran said teachers protesting the federal education reform want Governor Ángel Aguirre to resolve their demands, which they consider just.

However, he said, "the government itself is forcing such demonstrations" by prolonging the solution, which causes problems to fester. He added that there are antecedents for this, such as the unfortunate repression in dislodging the rural normal school students of Ayotzinapa.
MV Note: In December 2011, two students from the Ayotzinapa normal school (teachers college) were shot and killed by either state or federal police who were removing them from blocking the same Highway of the Sun in protest of a number of complaints they had about the management of their school. Although some state police were arrested, who the responsible agents and commanders were still has not been made clear.
