The National Commisson for Human Rights released the following announcement on Thursday:
Two federal policemen possibly participated, together with members of the Huitzuco municipal police, in the disappearance of the Ayotzinapa normal school students aboard bus number 1531, which occurred at the "Chipotle Bridge" in Iguala, on September 26, 2014.
Agents of three to four police departments possibly participated in the disappearance of a group of fifteen to twenty students.
After being forced to leave bus number 1531, the normal school students were taken to the Municipality of Huitzuco to be presented to someone who identified himself as "El Patron" ["The Boss"], possibly the leader of a criminal organization, who decided their fate.
The CNDH won the trust and obtained these statements from a witness who provided fundamental information about the events around the disappearance of normal school students at the "Chipotle Bridge".
As the National Commission pointed out on July 23, 2015, in its "State of Investigation into the Iguala Case", today it confirmed a second "Route to Disappearance" of the students initiated at the "Chipotle Bridge" in Iguala.
The CNDH asks that there be an investigation as to whether the two buses from which the students were taken, number 1568, which was blocked on Juan N. Alvarez Street, and number 153, detained at the "Chipotle Bridge", both belonging to the "Gold Star" Line, were the same ones in which the students originally traveled from the Ayotzinapa normal school to Iguala or if it was otherwise. The investigation could be relevant in determining the motive for the attacks on the students.

MV Note: The Interdisciplinary Group of Independent Experts from the Inter-American Commission for Human Rights, in its report in September 2015, raised the hypothesis that one of the buses seized by the students in the Iguala bus station may have been carrying drugs, or it was so believed by the local drug gang, Warriors United, leading them, with the assistance of the Iguala police, to attack the buses and take the students.
Representatives [of the police] could have hindered the investigations of the CNDH and the PGR [Attorney General's Office]. At the same time, they could have contributed to the [actions of the] criminal organization involved in the events of the disappearance of students at the "Chipote Bridge" and, in a sense, covered up those responsible.
