| Seven youth indicted for June 10 riots remain free on bail |
Milenio: Criminal Judge Manuel Rangel Preciado issued indictments against seven youths arrested during the riots of June 10. They are allegedly responsible for the crimes of intentional property damage, insults to authority in a gang and attacks on the public peace.
Diego Mora, Fredy Rosete, Diego Rodriguez, Carlos Esteban Jimenez, Jorge Velazquez, Carlos Vazquez and Luis Barrera were notified of the court's decision accompanied by their lawyer, who has three days to provide evidence to appeal the judge's decision.
The High Court confirmed that the detention order does not mean the imprisonment of the young people, who remain free on bail but subject to a final judgment by the court.
