Morelia, Michoacán • As a gesture to promote dialogue, teachers college students released a state policeman who was being held in the community of Turicuaro. Four officers remain under the control of the students and community members.
According to Julio César Torres, spokesman for the student group, in the coming days the release of the other agents could occur and, within hours, an announcement of a possible operation to release them will be made.
As reported by the spokesperson, today, one of the police showed a decline in his health, so he was immediately taken to a clinic in Nahuatzen municipality, and later it was agreed to release him. The student said that the officer already had health problems "because of his age".
