Mexico Pact "is not at risk" from Hunger Crusade Funds Scandal: PRI Leader

César Camacho, President of PRI, at party event in Veracruz
Aristegui Noticias: The President of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), César Camacho, said that the Mexico Pact is not at risk following allegations against the head of SEDESOL, Rosario Robles, for allegedly diverting resources [from the Crusade Against Hunger] for electoral purposes in Veracruz.
MV Note: Mexico Voices always pays attention when a politician says that something is "not" the case. It usually is a denial that it is the case.
The party leader called on the leaders of the National Action Party (PAN) and the Democratic Revolution (PRD) to continue the implementation of the agreements.
"I know the professionalism and patriotism of the political forces. I know they will give priority to the issues that form the 95 commitments of the Covenant ...
"The Pact for Mexico is in no way at risk; the Pact for Mexico is not hostage to the elections, the Pact for Mexico has its own dynamics and its own content," Camacho said.
The PAN has filed a complaint with the Attorney General in which it requested an investigation into the alleged diversion of resources in the Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOL) and the National Campaign Against Hunger to a network supporting the PRI in upcoming elections in Veracruz.
